At least once a week newspaper headlines  depict the heroics of the Fire Service worldwide; graphic images of Firefighters climbing through smoke and carrying out the rescued, frail and injured. These heroics are not planned; they are men and women of the Fire Service risking their lives for the communities they serve. Recognize it and be proud of who you are and appreciate that you are a member of an elite group of professionals.
